Incipia is seeking a data scientist with 2-5 years of experience.
We are looking for candidates who have experience in customizing statistical analyses to real-world contexts, with a knack for balancing both business priorities and pure methods of statistics and a willingness to constantly explore for the most optimal alternative for the question at hand.

Our data scientist will also be a core team member Incipia's partner company, Xyla, helping to shape our tool's roadmap and feature set.
Responsibilities of this role include: Rising to answer challenging analytical questions that require a deeper approach than the main Incipia team or clients can provide. Continually evolving our team's analytical capabilities by exploring for innovative new approaches to data modeling. Developing standardized processes to raise the efficiency of our ongoing analyses. Collaborating on company data strategy with the Incipia leadership team, including exploring new service offerings. Delegating workload as appropriate to the larger insights or marketing teams. Delivering insights via internal and external meetings, fielding questions, and providing additional context during discussions.
Required skills for this role include: A minimum of 6 months of experience working as a data scientist at a for-profit company. An undergraduate degree in math, statistics, or computer science. Fluency in at least one major data-science programming language (we use R and python). Experience in building and interpreting linear and additive regression models. A strong understanding of statistics.
Preferred skills for this role include:
A graduate degree with a relevant undergraduate degree.
Experience building and interpreting time series models.
An understanding of how to apply Bayesian methods to your work.
