C++ Software Engineer for Autonomous Driving at TomTom (Berlin, Germany)

What you’ll do

You will be working in one of our specialized teams focusing on map related technologies and feature creation around autonomous driving.

As a tech enthusiast you will be crunching big data to create and maintain tools for data collections, analysis and visualization through the whole software development cycle until production level.

Independently, you will work on the implementation of Computer Vision algorithms, which mainly use C ++ to further enhance the perception of our self-driving car as well as optimizing the mapmaking and maintenance of maps. You will be taking over ownership of your tasks and collaborate with different teams in TomTom creating real life applications.

What you’ll need

  • At least Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or other relevant field of study
  • Senior level experience in either DevOps, Robotics, Computer Vision / Graphics or Artificial Intelligence / Deep Learning
  • Fundamental-level proficiency in Linux environment
  • Proven experience in C++, C, Python
  • Self-motivated team-oriented mindset

What’s nice to have

  • Knowledge of ROS or similar robotic frameworks
  • Experience with PCL, Eigen, boost, GIT and JIRA
  • Interest in researching scientific publications
  • Familiarity with agile software development lifecycle

We’re “Autonomos”, the Berlin division of a Product Unit for Autonomous Driving focused on establishing new mapping technologies for autonomous driving. We test and validate our location technology products in our self-driving cars on public roads, ensuring that TomTom Automotive customers can seamlessly integrate fine-tuned, future-first mapping technology in their vehicles. With a strong focus on computer vision and deep learning, on this team you’ll help build the next-generation mapping technology needed for fully autonomous vehicles.
