Your work will impact millions of our customers. As part of the Marketing Product & Data Science team, the focus of your job will be in developing state of the art machine learning algorithms to power various aspects of highly complex global marketing campaigns. You have a proven passion for machine learning, statistics and optimization. You will be someone with a strong background in both machine learning (PhD is preferred) and software development. You fully immerse yourself in data, draw insight from analysis, and then zoom out to develop compelling, synthesized recommendations.
What You’ll Do:
Use your understanding of applied statistics/math to support hypotheses and business cases with robust models
Develop & refine ML bidding algorithms we use in various auctions
Work with large volumes of data; extract and manipulate large datasets using tools such as Hadoop Ecosystem, Apache Spark through scripting in Python, SQL, Hive etc. Use this data to gain insight into the customer journey, customer behavior, or understand root causes of performance degradation, to name a few
Perform ad hoc analysis to inform business decisions and improve understanding of root causes
Present insights and associated recommendations to cross functional audiences of all levels
Build tools that enable the team to unlock value via scalable processes and insights.
Who You Are:
PhD in CS or related field with experience and demonstrable work in machine learning
Strong algorithm design and coding skills in at least one of major programming languages like Java, C/C++, Python
You are skilled in hands-on cleaning, manipulating, analyzing, visualizing and modeling large data sets
You've got at least 1+ years of relevant work experience
Comfortable writing and working with complex queries in SQL/Hadoop
You have a strong attention to detail and an ability to lead complex projects.
